Horses Available for Purchase
Brannon Stables regularly has horses available for purchase. We pride ourselves on our reputation for selling safe and fun horses. We encourage the new owner to keep us updated on the horse's progress, as we usually have grown quite fond of the horse before its sale (please see the New Friends page, where we like to post pictures, when they are sent to us). However, we do not send horses "out on trial." We encourage any interested buyer to ride the horse he likes a few times before purchasing it, and, because we teach lessons from beginner to advanced, the buyer may choose to board his new friend for a limited time with us and take lessons before taking the horse home. This option is especially desirable when the horse is purchased for a child or someone who has not ridden in some years; it always helps to have a professional on site to offer advice, no matter how broke the horse. Because we go to great lengths to help our customers during the transition period, there is no money back guarantee. If after the purchase of the horse, questions or concerns arise, we will answer or return your call or email and do our best to help.
Brown Bess is a wonderful thoroughbred mare. She WTC, goes over fences, trail rides, and would make a nice kid's horse as she is a very quiet ride. Very endearing personality - follows us around out in the pasture when we go to retrieve other horses. Used in summer camp with youth riders. Now located at Brannon Stables. Great first horse for a beginner! Asking price: $2500
Bandit, pictured above, is a super standardbred horse. He was raced as a trotter before training for show. He is a really nice saddle horse, as well. Used to ring work inside and outside, but loves the trails too. Not spooky or flighty; has that nice good sense his breed represents. Excellent in crossties or at a post. Terrific ground manners, quiet for the farrier, etc. Works alone or with buddies. He's fun and friendly to humans and other animals. Has just begun his jump training with ground poles and should progress quickly. Suitable for most anyone who can post a trot and knows how to guide a horse. In addition, you can hook him and drive him for something different. A lovely, good boy. No vices. He's much liked at the farm and really needs his own family to love and use him. Update: Bandit is cantering nicely under saddle for adults and children. Asking price - $2500

CJ is a registered Arabian mare with a beautiful dished face and nice conformation. She is receiving a tune-up and doing very nicely at W/T/C both directions. Extremely suitable for ring riding for an advanced beginner. Suitable for lead line saddleseat instruction at the walk and trot. Very kind to children - loves to be groomed. Child to the left is five years old and loved posting CJ's trot (see video by clicking on "CJ" to right). Does ride alone nicely out in the open field with an intermediate rider. Great trail horse - NO SPOOK EVER SO FAR! No mean streak, but as with most Arabs, shines when worked with consistency and allowed to build a rapport with her rider. If interested in CJ, please call Cody at 859-492-8258. IN FOAL to Friesian Stallion for 2008 foal! Asking price: $5000

Talladega is a 5-yr old thoroughbred with loads of talent for jumping, hunters, or 3-day eventing. He does exceptionally well in the ring and out on the trail. Nice gaits. Lead changes in place. Jumps whatever is in front of him. Excellent disposition on the ground, in the field with horses, and under saddle. No bad habits. Has show experience. Height: 16h. Asking price: $7,500
Partly Cloudy is a beautiful gray nine year old unregistered ASB. She is five-gaited and performs all gaits with ease, as well as with confidence. Show experience on the racking circuit, as well as at ASB academy wtc. She is fun and a nice choice for any intermediate youth or adult rider. Please contact Nancy concerning pricing.

Eddie is an aged Arabian gelding, standing at about 14.2 H, who has had show experience in his past. He is a nice pleasure mount for an intermediate to advanced beginner. He walk/trots/canters, as well as does light trail riding and low jumping. He is easy as a leadliner for little ones too. Easy to catch, stands perfectly still for grooming/tacking/mounting. There is no buck/rear/runaway in this horse. He is an easy keeper, used to field life, where he keeps to himself. Ties to a post or crossties. Loads, bathes, clips, etc. Eddie has been used in lessons, camp days, and for trail rides without issue or incident. He loves attention, especially if you scratch his forehead - he'll nod the whole time, as if to say, "Keep scratching!" Neck reins and will wear a western bridle. Goes English too and likes a lightly cinched cavesson. He is a very nice older horse who needs a young friend. Asking price: $1200
